100% of proceeds donated will be used to purchase holiday gifts & toys for local Toronto youth. Every gift will be hand-wrapped and personally delivered.
Make Kids Smile is a grass-roots, hyper-local Toronto charitable initiative with a passion to raise money, gift wrap and deliver holiday gifts for children, youth and teens in Toronto. We personally collect, wrap and deliver gifts to our Toronto community youth in different shelters and refugee sites. We will have all gifts ready for wrapping by Dec 18th and we pre-arrange to stop by and deliver each gift personally.
Join us in our mission to practice gratitude, kindness and compassion this holiday season.
After hearing about the challenges of underprivileged and refugee kids in Toronto area shelters, I decided to put together a local Toronto Toy Drive to raise money to purchase holiday gifts. Because of Covid, families and kids have been extremely isolated in shelters and mainly have to stay in their rooms. One toy = One smile. I can't wait to wrap and personally deliver the gifts with the help of colleagues and friends. We want to make as many smiles as possible with your help and support.
Sepi Madani, Colleagues & Friends
We are so proud to support our colleague Sepi and his amazing friends. This wonderful initiative is completely grassroots and will support local kids, youth and teens in our Toronto community. Our business focus is global, our WFH team is global but this past year has made us all even more proud to be associated with Canada and to support our "home-base" community in Toronto. The need has never been greater. We are keen to do our small part to help .
Ted, Nadine, Robert & Jennifer and the entire Stream Commerce Team (a Shopify Plus Consultancy)
It was our pleasure to donate the Rise.ai technology platform & our time to set up the gifting part of this amazing cause. We have spent this year supporting our local businesses with various initiatives and are thrilled to do our small part to help. We are based in the Middle East but our team is happy to support a local Toronto charitable initiative. We love Toronto! We love Canada! And those Raptors aren't too bad either. Go Sepi and team Toronto!

I have been working with child refugees for over the last ten years. It’s incredible to see how during times of hardship, even in Canada, how something as simple as providing a toy to a child can change their outlook and circumstances.

We are excited to help Sepi, Tara and the Stream Commerce team put together this initiative. This is a great cause and it comes at a time where many people need support to get through these difficult circumstances.

A Little Bit Can Go A Long Way
Due to the ongoing health crisis, many refugees and underprivileged youth in Toronto shelters and under-served local communities are struggling more than ever.
Having been left to quarantine in shelters and isolate in their rooms, the social and psychological toll the global health crisis has had on their lives and mental health this year has reached new levels.
Canadian generosity is known on a global level. Our inclusivity and compassion knows no bounds regardless of race, religion, colour, or background. This is a phenomenal opportunity to come together and safely support our communities.
