Covid-19 Safety Process

Some of our shelters have expressed concern for Covid-19 safety regarding the distribution of the toys. We have decided to perform a quarantine process for all wrapped toys based on research on how long covid-19 can live on a variety of surfaces. Therefore, we need to purchase and wrap gifts ahead of the Dec 18th schedule to allow for this additional safety step.

Recent research evaluated the survival of the COVID-19 virus on different surfaces and reported that the virus can remain viable for up to 72 hours on plastic and stainless steel, up to four hours on copper, and up to 24 hours on cardboard. Once the toys are wrapped they will be quarantined for 3-5 days.
